A weekend in France

Dear Diary,

The uncertain weather of this early summer makes me want to get away from the gloom and recharge my batteries. No question of going abroad when I think of all my favorite cities in France. But for which destination to crack?

Sophia

The Baux de Provence

This small perched village is surrounded by superb landscapes that you will have the opportunity to admire during your walks in the village or through the castle of Les Baux. When I'm there, I stay at the Hotel Baumanière. This truly charming place offers Spa, swimming pool and even Provencal cooking classes. You can also eat at the Cabro d'Or, the hotel's gastronomic restaurant with a bucolic decor.

The Dune of Pilat

What I like there is that each season the Dune offers a different and always breathtaking point of view! From the top of the Dune, you will have a unique view of the Banc D'Arguin nature reserve, the forest and the tip of Cap-Ferret. During my weekends in Pilat, I stay at the Co(o)rniche hotel where I am always divinely well received by Sophie, the owner of the place. It is an essential address for its beautiful and large terrace with white parasols but above all for its extraordinary view of the basin.

Porto Vecchio

Dominated by its citadel and overlooking the bay, Porto-Vecchio is a destination of choice that I fell in love with years ago. This city harmoniously combines sumptuous beaches, ancient fortifications and a magnificent mountainous hinterland. Stop by the Casadelmar hotel for one of their famous cocktails to enjoy with a view of the sea. A dream location: feet "in the water" a few minutes from the city center and the most beautiful beaches in Corsica such as Palombaggia.
