For Fall-Winter 20, Sophie Mechaly decides to take us on a journey through the corridors of 70s boarding schools: studious, both preppy and romantic, the silhouettes move through the library of Lycée Henri IV. The collection consists of long oversized coats, pieces with Prince of Wales or houndstooth patterns, contrasting with bold colors and floral prints.

She will dress in a mix of English uniform with tweed, flannel, jackets and coats with velvet collars, from the collections of English boarding school students. This college inspiration runs through the collection: it is the meeting of several students from different backgrounds, a group of girls who find themselves in a school with imposed outfits. From their striped blazers with crests, their pleated skirts, they invent their own style. This period represents a certain modesty, a certain discipline. There is also an elegant, chic, well-groomed side, combined with restraint, an "anti-fashion" outward sign.
