From her childhood wardrobe to the uniform sage spirit, the designer delivers a subtle interpretation. The smocked maxi dresses transform into jumpsuits, the floral prints take on two-tone hues, and the iconic babies are elevated with platforms. The clean and meticulously crafted cuts are infused with a rebellion, freedom, and eccentricity that are typically English, making way for a few watercolor silhouettes on silk crepe de chine. Their psychedelic floral decor contrasted with a blue sky and dotted with quirky cats elegantly pays tribute to Japan, the brand's beloved country.
