Paul & Joe (PJ): Hello Minako, can you introduce yourself?

Minako Norimatsu (MN): I am Minako Norimatsu, Japanese, Parisian by adoption, journalist and fashion consultant, and above all a long-time friend of Sophie.

PJ: How did your path cross with Paul & Joe's?

MN: One day in 1995, through a Japanese friend who was the first buyer of Paul & Joe, I met Sophie. I thought to myself, "What a vibrant woman, this Sophie!" It was a real "girl crush"! I thus became the first journalist to write about her creation.

PJ: For you, what makes this link between Paul & Joe and Japan so strong?

MN: I witnessed the early recognition of Sophie's work by the Japanese. Sophie is very loyal to her relationships, and that's what forged this strong bond.

PJ: And what is your relationship today with the brand and its creator?

MN: We laugh a lot together and we often have creative brainstorming sessions.

PJ: Tell us about this brand book that you wrote for the brand's 30th anniversary?

MN: To mark the brand's 30th anniversary, as someone who has witnessed Paul & Joe's evolution, I wrote this Brand Book. It recounts Sophie's origins, career, and principles in a very narrative way. It's a summary of Paul & Joe's DNA: quality, sincerity, and positive energy.

PJ: And what is your relationship with Paul & Joe clothing?

MN: Naturally, I often wear Paul & Joe. My favorite piece this winter is knitwear. I have some in twinsets and I sometimes mix colors. The vibrant colors and the softness of cashmere put me in a good mood.

PJ: Any final words?

MN: In summary, Paul & Joe is synonymous with quality clothing that brings joy!
