THE FOUNDER SOPHIE MECHALY

Born in Paris, Sophie was immersed in the world of textiles from a very young age. Raised in a family where hard work was a core value, Sophie quickly dropped out of her management studies to work for couturier Azzedine Alaïa at the age of 19.

She then joined her parents' company, "Le Garage," known for its printed shirts, which were iconic in the 1980s.

In 1995, the young designer decided to strike out on her own and launched her brand, naming it after her two young sons, Paul and Joe.

AMBITION THE PROJECT OF A LIFETIME

In 30 years, Paul & Joe has established itself as a unique House, revisiting the codes of classic attire through its prints, finishes, and play between masculine and feminine.

The Paul & Joe man and woman are independent, curious, and free in their way of dressing. They prioritize a personal style over fleeting trends. Dresses, pant suits, shirts, and coats are the signatures of a wardrobe designed to last.

Today, Paul & Joe extends beyond ready-to-wear to express itself in a lifestyle universe with Paul & Joe Eyewear, Paul & Joe Beauté, and PJ Night.

Since the creation of the House, Sophie Mechaly has championed an independent vision of fashion, founded on the freedom to create, a taste for beautiful materials, and an always unique identity.

PAUL & JOE MAN ADRIEN ALBOU

Adrien Albou, passionate about fashion, vintage, music, and prints, has been the artistic director of the Paul & Joe Men's collection since Winter 2022. Son of Sophie, he develops a precise and contemporary men's wardrobe where tailoring, fine materials, and prints play a central role.

Through Paul & Joe Homme and Le Garage by Paul & Joe, launched in Autumn-Winter 2026 with the Psyche Heritage collection, Adrien explores different facets of men's fashion, balancing Parisian elegance, cinematic influences, vintage culture, and creative freedom.

THE MANUFACTURE “MADE IN FRANCE” PARTS

"The majority of our garments are made in France. Over the years, I have built a strong network of partners. As for materials, 50% of the fabrics are sourced in Italy and the rest in France, from embroidery houses located in northern France and near Castres, in the Southwest, for woolens, for example. The suit jackets, blazers, and coats feature beautiful hand-stitched topstitching. We truly draw inspiration from haute couture for our wardrobe and tailoring"

A WORKSHOP IN THE HEART OF PARIS

Since its creation, it is in its workshop Rue Commines, in the Marais district, that the Paul & Joe collections come to life.
